Just a quick question it really hasn't been said can you get or make your own ringers for this phone without purchasing them through GIN? I know you can on the moto v3c but now with the memory card I'm curious has it changed the whole send in a pix message deal? Thanks in advance!

You can send them in .qcp format and they work great.

I have also found thet .mid files work very well as well (in fact better than .qcp files). Just make sure your file is less than 200 kb.

There are several work arounds. Most are more than I wanted to do. They include seem edits, flash, MPT, voice recording and file overwrite. But frankly, as I read through all of that, I realized that I only had about 12 and at $0.25 for each email, my twelve would cost me $3.00 and that my time was worth more than the three bucks. Therein is a link to Mark Venture's page with detailed instructions for many, many features and several phones. Look around and follow the v3c/v3m stuff.

Go to mobile17.com. They will send you back your midi file attached to a text message and there is no fee for this service.

I dont know if you all know about this 30 sec mp3 free music clip trick or not, but here it is. I can not take credit for this, I actually found it on another forum and think its worth spreading.
For free 30 sec mp3 music:
-Go to dogpile.com, Walmart.com, other free music, search under Music, do any kind of specific search like sound effects or broad search like rock.
-Click on any album and scroll down, walmart allows you to listen to 30 seconds of almost every song on every album.
-To listen first just left click on the side on the song where it says "mp3 audio" winamp will pop up and allow you to hear it.
-If you like it than right click on the "mp3 audio"...and sav...

You can't just move them unless you use p2kcommander or something. You'll have to email the .mids to your phone from your computer. (yournumber@vzwpix.com) You can then hit menu, save sound, and save it. They'll work as ringtones then. If you don't have a picture messaging plan, it'll cost you 25 cents for each email, so I suggest attaching two of them to each email.
