windows media player won't play video files

I can transfer video files via usb cable to my Windows PC. The Windows Media Player is unable to play them. It says it doesn't recognize the .3GP extension. What to do?

You can either find a media player that will play 3GP files, or convert the file to an mpeg. You can find information about both here:

(Hint - Quicktime supposedly can play 3gp files).

Yes. When I downloaded the LATEST version of QuickTime- it worked!
Real Player didnt work for me. I even tried videoland VLC player and it played the movie images but no sound?!
