Sending Pictures via email?

Is there any way to send pictures in memory through Medianet Email? Or any method that doesn't use IM? It's kind of addictive and my 200 IMs are gonna get eaten up really quick. I'd rather send stuff via email if I could.

Did you mean MMSs instead of IMs? Instant Messaging (i.e. AIM, Yahoo Messenger, etc.) works over the Internet, so it should be covered by the unlimited data plan. In general, it is possible to send files within an IM chat, but I don't know if the phone's IM clients allow this.

You may want to think about investing in a Bluetooth dongle for your computer as a method of transferring pictures.

I did mean MMSs, not IM. Ii want to send pictures I take to other people's email, but it sounds like the Media Net package considers sending a picture this way using your phone email account (supplied by Media Net), is considered an MMS, which would be considered a Multimedia message send and goes against the number of "Text Messages" I have in my package (200).

Basically, I'm looking for a way to send my pictures directly from my phone and not have it considered a Text/Multimedia message. Obviously I can move the messages to my PC and send them from there, but it's so much more easy to just select a picture on the phone and do a "send to" function.

I know it's possible, I hope Flurry comes though. It would be awesome.

Actually after reading more about this, I'm guessing that no matter how we're sending the picture, it will be considered as a multimedia message and count against the total.

I did find out that our first month of text messaging is free. But that only adds fuel to the fire! 😳

I don't think so. The MIDP 2.0 specification defines the ability to allow a Java program to access the memory card as a regular file system. All that is needed is someone to write a program to take advantage of this capability, and add attachments to regular e-mail.
