MS Exchange Active Sync Client

The Exchange ActiveSync Protocol allows mobile devices with Internet access to sync the device with the Exchange server. Usually the devices run PalmOS, Windows Mobile, or Symbian. Since the CU500 runs none of these, the only possible option is a J2me ActiveSync client.

The good new is, there is such a thing - DataViz has a Java MIDP 2.0 client, called RoadSync. The bad news is that it costs $50.00, and only syncs e-mail; no contacts, no calendar, no tasks.

They've only tested it with Motorolla phones, but the free demo download works with the CU500 just fine. The only tricky part was entering the server name. I ended up typing "sync.example.com:443" to specify that the SSL conn...
