Speakerphone
Does anybody know why when you activate the speaker phone and close the fold, why it hangs the call up? Is there a solution to this problem?

The microphone is on the inside, why would you want to use the speakerphone with the phone folded? I think this works the same for all clam-shell phones...

The microphone is not only on the inside, but when the phone is closed the microphone is right next to the speaker. That would lead to positive feedback to an extent that could not be corrected by firmwar/software (my guess).
So, it wouldn't work even if the phone didn't hang up.
I note, however, if you go into settings(9), call(5), answer mode (4), you can select how the phone answers - key press or opening up the phone, for example.
