Upgrading my VX 7000. Not sure whether to go with RAZR V3M or LG VX8300. Tried the new VX8600 but my old 7000 sounded so much better.
Anyone tried he RAZR and 8300? If so, which phone do you think is better? I have played woith them at the store but I like to have it for a weeks or so to use them.

Frankly, Verizon's version of the RAZR really sucks. The software is slow and the battery is pathetic. The 8300 is leaps and bounds better at everything, and it's still a small phone considering how much it does. Things that I know the 8300 has and the RAZR does not:
-very good battery life
-stereo speakers
-camera has a flash
-there are 2 Flash-based display themes that make it look a lot nicer
-keys are not flat, so you can actually feel the different buttons with your thumb, instead of having to look at the RAZR keypad to make sure you're hitting the right one
-the internal screen is 262k colors, not 65k like the RAZR

Do not get the RAZR!!!
I had 5 replacements from Verizon and after number 5 they gave me a new 8300. This is so much better phone in every way.
The Razr build quality is poor, signal strengh is crap, is very fragile, etc.

If you ask most verizon employees they have the 8300.

Stay away from the Razr!! Just look at the reviews.

You are definitely better off with the 8300. I had the razr and I didn't like it at all. Too many cons to mention. The 8300 is awesome. Speaker phone is excellent compared to other phones. Reception is great. Loud ringtone. Clarity is very good. Buttons are easy to navigate. Most sales rep. in verizon is using this phone. So..you know what that means! Go with the 8300 you won't go wrong. Good luck.
