LG8300 bluetooth

I have tried every bluetooth headset under the sun and all I have to say is that LG dropped the ball....again. Every headset echos on the receiving end, great on my end. That combo makes it worthless. Also, bluetooth drains the 8300 battery so fast it ain't funny. In summary, the 8300 is leaving the building. Lots of potential but it has fallen short.

I too have tried just about every headset I can think of and have had no success with the echo issue. As far as battery life goes I would say it drained it at a pace that was the same as most others. I love the phone but the bluetooth and voice command features are real important to me. The voice dialing is not what the 8100 was which I thought was just fine. I find the new version to be odd. I tried my friends Razr V3m and the voice dialing was great as well as the bluetooth. The Samsung A930's voice command was nice also, I didn't get a chance to try the bluetooth. I still have until the 9th of July to make a change of phones if any. Any suggestions?

Still waiting for my 8300. I have the 8100 and using: Bluetrek G2 and Jabra-BT500. I have NEVER had this problem, except with he Moto 850-500-700, all of which I returned within 2 days. I just lose my BT connection between handset & headset. I keep the volume on medium (both), If you read the forums, its with most of the phones, not only LG, which says to me-VZW network. I am in NJ and use it all over. No problem, either end. I just ordered the SawTooth 2 speaker kit. Will let you all know how it work, if I ever get my damn phone.

I had problem with my h3 but when you turn the headset volume down to medium as well as the headset the echo goes away . I have the Plantronics Discovery 645 Bluetooth Headset on the way hope this will make a difference with the noise and echo canceling software.

Ferndog, I'm with you on this one. This phone is great, except for the BT situation. I've written about this on other posts, but my Blueant X3 micro doesn't work well with this handset at all. Echo is really bad. Not to mention overall static"y" connection in call quality.

My friend tried it on her V710 and the X3 worked fine. Until I try another BT headset, I'm going to begin my search for another handset. Sad, I really think this phone had alot going for it. And this is my first foray into the BT world..not a good first time experience ☹️
