Mary What's your secret?
I know people are saying you can put an mp3 in an attachment of an email and send it as a pix msg then save to phone as a ringtone. i have tried multiple times, however, everytime i am getting error, sound save, basically saying their is nothing to save as a ringtone.. is there a setting i have to change on this phone for it to work? Please advise ...
...
Make sure you are cutting the MP3 down to about 30 seconds or so. If your trying to send the entire song, you may be getting an error because the file is too big.

yea the song is 29 seconds and only 8kb and it won't get it? any idea?

I've had similar problems and haven't yet figured out the solution. I've gotten two clips to work successfully, but with two other clips, I open the pix msg (don't hear the song playing) and try to save it, but get "Save Error." I've compared the files for bit rate, file size, number of characters in the filename, everything. It's all comparable between the files that worked and the ones that didn't. I'm baffled. 😕

yea i can't figure it out either

are you guy's using pix place to send these or just an attachment from a regular email
...
I'm just sending it to my phone from my home ISP (regular email).

I tried it from a website similar to PixPlace (funformobile) and got the error message. Sent the exact same file from my email and was successful.
