Just to let everyone know. One of the most eye-catching features for the upcoming VX8300 is the stereo bluetooth/A2DP profile. Unfortunately, none of Verizon's documents that show the features of this phone list stereo bluetooth, or a2dp profile. It lists the other profiles such as OPP(with Vcard only), but not stereo bluetooth. This doesn't look good, guys. If anyone from LG or Verizon Wireless knows the deal with this, please let us know!

it's pretty safe bet that it doesn't. the motorola q says "STEREO BLUETOOTH" all over the launch package and my guess is the lg would say the same if it had it.

dang, this makes it even less of an upgrade to the vx8100 now. Only real differences are the new UI, and VZ Navigator, which both should be added to the vx8100 with a software flash. This is starting to suck. Oh well, I am still getting it. lol

Pardon my ignorance ... but what does A2DP/Stereo Bluetooth do/allow you to do?
...

It allows you to listen to your music through a bluetooth headset wirelessly, instead of having to use a regular wired cord.

So, it would then only allow you to use a Bluetooth headset for talking and not for music enjoyment?

Yup, unless LG/Verizon enables it later in a software flash, but who knows? All I know is that this is the most disappointing news that I have heard about this phone thus far.

Hold the phone, it's very unlikely Verizon will disable this feature. They wouldn't necessarily put out special advertising about this feature since it's just another bluetooth profile. Also, it looks like OBEX will also be enabled. If you look on the Verizon online vx8300 manual, it does show the 8300 being paired with a 'computer' under bluetooth. Also, it does show you being able to save 'sounds' and 'data' to the microSD card. It looks to me like all features will be enabled.

Being paired with a computer doesn't neccessarily mean OBEX, it can pair for VCARD transfers, or to transfer contacts, or/and to connect with Dial Up Networking. What I saw said Object Push Profile for Vcard only. Obex is not what they intended.

coool, good to hear>>>>>i just wonder why that feature is not included in Verizon's own internal documents in infomanager? Oh well, if you learned/heard about it in training, then thats all I need to know!
thanks for the info!!! 😎

i've heard incorrect info from our data reps, directly from manufacturers reps, and directly from launch packages before. so basically we have to wait till someone on this forum gets one and tries it with a stereo headset.

ASDP is not listed on Verizon's website. BASTARDSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.

as i mentioned earlier, the motorola q mentioned stereo bluetooth like three times in the launch package. no mention in the 8300 launch package. also if you read the post labeled "ACTUAL NEWS" you will see a list of the bluetooth options and a2dp is not listed.
