micro sd or transflash?

Doesn't Moto pretty well standard use transflash? at least on cdma and iden. why would they start using microSD?

Not really... Same format, different physical size. You cant use one in the other's device.

Mini-SD is different from trans-flash, but not micro-SD which is the "new" name for trans-flash. You can verify this for yourself at:
