From what i have read, you can access most pop3 and imap mail servers through the T-Mobile service. You basically use T-Mobile as a mail relay, and it will even notify you of new mail via a primitive SMS "push" that prompts the phone to connect to your email server and download the headers. I have only had the phone for about 5 days, but I am very happy so far.

From what I understand, the SDA has everything needed to access MS Exchange Server SP2 with the new email push technology, but I have not set up my exchange server account yet, so I have not been able to try it.

So far the POP3 relay using T-Mobile meets my needs for email access on the phone.

Hope this helps.

Dean C,
Are you able to reply to those emails or only read them?

Can you create a new email and send it?

You can create, read, reply.

I now have it auto-configured through the MyEmail system T-M has. At first I didn't get the proxy theory and just manually configured it for my POP3 account. That worked OK, except that I got a (meaningless) error message at the end of each download
