I want to use the Q as a phone/email device...as well as using the calendar and contacts (I am a radio show producer).

Are these the right reasons for getting a Motorola Q phone?

I have been using the Q since release day. I have waited for over a year prior to release. I used a 7250 Blackberry for about a year. I was fairly obsessed with my blackberry.

Smarthphone Notes
Fizz Weather

The latest rom update for the Q adds the
"True push" update finally. Meaning the
Q is now really using a push update just like a blueberry, I mean blackberry.
( I remember when they were all blue )
If your Q is tied into an email server at work then yes this is good.

But you also sound like your a possible Treo 700 type person as well, you might want to try out both.
