Email????

Can the email be updated in real time? Or do i have to wait 15 minutes for a send/receive function to act? I use email frequently to communicate (sometimes at the speed of text messaging) so does the Q allow me to do this? Thanks

You have 3 e-mail options:

1. Use PC Monitoring with an "always on" PC. This will push your e-mail immediately to your Q - but you have to leave an Outlook client running all the time.

2. Use "Wireless Sync" on your Q. This will immediately push messages to your Q - but only when the Verizon wireless sync client receives them. The Verizon Wireless Sync server only polls POP3 every 15 minutes - but it may do it more frequently for Outlook Exchange Server (call tech support to clarify that)

3. Use the built in "Moto" client to set up a new account (under "messaging" - near the text message menus). This can be configured to pull messages from your POP3 client every 15 minutes (but wastes battery b/c it attempts to pull even when t...

Thank you for the advice. I don't "need" it every fifteen minutes because I don't receive a high volume of emails, but every so often I will receive 20 or so in succession so it is no big deal to me to force the send/receive function when I am expecting mail.

And one more question...I have a mac and use entourage....will this present a problem?

No. it's mac compatiable.

markspace has the software to sync via your mac. isync, ical, address book and entourage...

is there software i can down load to be able to view attachments?

No software required for most attachments.
The phone can view:

Word
Powerpoint
Excel
Adobe (PDF's)
and most photo and video formats

it may be able to view others as well - but I've only tried the above
...
