Software bug entering contact info...

I have been using a Samsung i600 for the last two years and the OS is almost identical to WM5 on the Q. I am frustrated by a couple of changes that I can’t imagine are intentional, as they make entering contact info almost impossible in certain situations. Anyone else find these bugs? Or do I need to take this thing back?

1) If I attempt to enter a new phone number into an existing contact, I am only allowed to type letters. Even hitting the ATL (half moon icon) key once or twice to lock does not change the input from letters to numbers. I have to go to my desktop, enter the number, and then sync.

2) I am unable to locate a contact from the “Find Contact” screen when attempting to add a number from the hall history list witho...
