I download to the PC the run setup it goes through active sync and places it on the Q. I think you can do it on the Q but I feel more confortable with the pc to q approach.

They are great programs.

I hope you don't mind me jumping in here, but I downloaded papyrus directly to my Q, but when I tried ot open it, the phone wanted to open it in the document viewer as a document, not and application.

Any Suggestions?

Thanks

Thanks. I was trying to bypass the PC. I work on Macs and Missing Sync hasn't released v2.5 (for WM5) yet. I do have Virtual PC on my mac at the office, so maybe I'll just set up Active Sync there. I'm still within my 15 days, but if I can't get a better calendar and task list, the Q has to go back.

Thanks for the help

I am very happy with papyrus and power tasks. i have spent a lot of time reviewing various programs and have stopped with these. i have yet to find one that allows meeing invites or assigning tasks to others. but i remain hopeful

Do you use Facade? It's a comfort thing with me since I came from a palm and like the agenda view, but it looks like a good program as well.

I do it allows me to set the launch buttons at the top of the home screen permanent instead f last used.

it also allows to change the order of home screen plugins and to turn off one i did not want.

it also allows me to place a selection of appointmnets and tasks on the home screen.

great program

i also use power tasks which may seem like over kill however it allows me to bump task either to the current day or the next day.

the view has callaspable tasks by overdue, today, next 7 days and next 30 days which is great.

i am also waiting for power calendar to be updated fr wm5.

Hey Gray,
I am trying out both FACADE and PAPYRUS. Is there a bonus to having both. If the regular outlook calendar will work and I can use FACADE to show an expanded listing of appointments, which is what I wanted, is there a reason to buy PAPYRUS also?

One again mahalo for your time and input.

facade only gives you home screen functionality. papyrus give you appointment and task functions far above the default and closer to what you would get from desktop outlook.

custom reminders
custom reoccurances
priority
papyrus allows you to view appointments and tasks together which is great.
and more

Roger that,
I only need my future appointments to show for the next week or so. I don't need task or meeting details. The old mind still works well enough that if I can see that I have a meeting on next Thursday I can remember what is is about.

I just didn't like the fact that on the original programs that came with the Q it only showed the next days appointments.

I think I will keep FACADE and let PAPYRUS go.

Out here.
