Bluetooth Headset Problems??????????

I have an HS850 Motorola Headset, and I'm having some problems with it. It won't stay connected half the time, and when it is connected and I try answer with it, it makes a really weird sound in my ear and the next thing I know the person calling has been transferred to the phone's earpiece. 😳

Anyone having similar problems? Got any advice?

It's the same headset I had with my RAZR, and I never had any problems with it.

Can someone help me, please? ☹️

I have the HS 810 Motorola and encounter the same problem with headset staying connected. Strangely, it goes in and out of connection.

Me too. And if I'm not already using my headset when a call comes in, when I try to put it on and answer the call, the person on the other line says they hear a lot of static.

Ditto!

I am ready to start shopping for another headset, but I loved my HS850. Flip out boom is important to answer calls for me. Best sound quality when paired with my old E815.
Maybe we should all call Moto support.

It's expensive, but go with the Jabra JX10. This is the one that I haven't had any problems with at all. I love it! In fact I stopped using my built-in handsfree in my Acura TL because I like this headset so much better.

Did you use the Jabra JX10 with the Q. I bought it and am unable to make the Q find it.

I am using it right now with my Q. It works so well that I stopped using the handsfree feature in my Acura. Have you paired your Q with any other BT headsets?

I actually have paired it with my Acura TL also. I finally did figure out the issue. Seemed that the case I was using must have been blocking something which made it unable to see the headset. IN any case, working now. DO you have a lot of "airy" background noise while using the jabra? I have never used a BT headset so do not know if this is normal.

I do have a little airy background noise, but it doesn't seem to bother others too much. Let me ask you this about pairing the phone with your TL. When you pair it, do you find that it's a pain when it comes to text and email alerts? When it's paired, it automatically goes into "Headset" mode, and when it's in that mode, all notifications, other than a call ringing in are only played through the headet. But those tones don't play through the TL.

I had the same problem with my Pantronics Discovery 640. I decided to upgrad to the Jabra JX10 and have no longer had that problem. Yes it is expensive, but it rocks. It is so light and small that you don't even need the ear hook and the noise canceling feature is the best I have ever used. It's worth a look.

I have the H500, and I have had basically the same problems. I am trying to determine if there is any particular factor that might be exacerbating the problems it has. Two things deserve attention:

1) I think the Q needs a particularly strong bluetooth signal, and so long before my headset indicates "low battery," the signal will have already dropped enough that I get flaky behavior (intermittant connection). I havn't had a chance to test this theory yet (by keeping my headset constantly charged as much as possible).

2) My headset goes into "programming mode" if I hold the "on" button just a bit too long. It may be that I am accidentally entering this mode more than I realize, and causing the connection to be unprogrammed.
