I believe the announcement will be coming out on Monday that we have all been waiting for. How soon does anyone think the actual products will be in the store. another question how quickly does a comapny usually put modifications in to fix problems...do the wait a few months. I would like to get onew after the kinks have been worked out 😳

I am buying this phone immediately. However, I know it will have bugs. It's a Motorola and that is simply a given. Do NOT buy this phone if you are prone to whining about little things like the time not being correct when the phone is initially powered on. Some Razrs had that problem... I wish LG made a PDA. My fear is that I will buy this Q and two months later LG will drop a thinner version of the V out that is a much better device. That is a chance I'll have to take I suppose...

As I posted in the V forum, I spoke with an LG representative a few weeks ago at a vendor fair, and he assured me that there is no new verison of the V coming out any time this year. He said the only thing to expect for the V is a drop in prices. Earlier last week verizon online ran a promotion buy one get one free on the V. I believe this is the first stage of making the V more affordable to every consumer.

I understand. No new version of the V. Yes, the V IS Buy One Get One Free currently with VZW with the first costing $199.99 and receive a $50 mail-in rebate. The phone IS a really good phone, too. I wouldn't waste my time though. What good is a keyboard on a regular phone. My complaint in my previous post was since LG makes the best phones for VZW (I own the 8100) then it would be wonderful if they dropped a PDA for Verizon. I wouldn't expect (or buy for that matter) an updated V. I want them to make a PDA based upon the V's design that will blow all these other PDAs out of the water. I have a lot of confidence in LG these days. But, I sign one year contracts so even when I get the Q in June, I'll be able to upgrade to LG's PD...

Well, even a broken clock is correct twice a day. Seriously, I own a V710 (which I will be sending back as per the settlement) and it has a host of problems, however signal strength is not one of them. I was in rural Mississippi with both my V710 and my 8100 a couple of months ago and I was getting no bars with the 8100 and four with the 710. I was in a digital service area and I checked the 710 to be sure it was not picking up an analog signal...and it wasn't. Again, in every other fashion the 8100 beats it hands down and I can still use the 8100 with no bars of signal. It would miss a call with such a low signal though.
