Random VZW Rant
They NEVER stop working for me...except for these THREE DAYS! This is long, but I'm ranting.
This is just comical. So, as I posted before, I ordered a VX9800 to bide my time until the Q is a viable option. I received the order confirmation. 2 to 6 days to deliver, and they weren't kidding. Not including the day I ordered, they took every bit of 6 business days, and a weekend to the SCHEDULED delivery date...at 7 PM no less.
Then it turns out the FEDEX driver was either to mentally challenged, or lazy, to find my house (in a small subdivision). So he enters an incorrect address note. Of course, noone contacted me, so I had to do the work. Called them, confirmed my address, and GAVE DIRECTIONS to my home. The next day, basically ...

Yeah, it was kind of a joint problem.
Really there was additional nonsense. I spent quite some time fiddling with VZW's red tape just getting to the point where I could order the phone...personal to business account transfer. That took weeks. And then the mixed up folks at the B2B call center(s)...I never got the same answer twice...on POLICIES...through at least four CSRs. Crazy.
Then there's:
- waiting to the last minute (after declaring 2-6 business day delivery, the order wasn't processed for 4 business days...6 calendar days)
- the choice to use FEDEX as the carrier in the first place (and apparently FEDEX doesn't deliver on Saturday...at least not at the prices VZW's paying)
- shutting down their account man...
