How to use my own ringtones?

How do I get my own ringtones onto the Q? I know that there is a way to put them on a memory card but I haven't a clue of how. I wasn't going to bother but now that the Razr 2 is not coming out until July, I NEED to find ringtones that don't make me crazy when the phone rings (like the standards on the Q).

PLEASE HELP and describe in detail as I truly haven't any idea how to do this. If there is more than one way, please tell me both! Thanks!

you can't use your own ringtones the best thing is to use any music that you might have on it. look at the posting below this one, and that will tell you how to set your music up as a ringtone.

You most certainly can use your own ringtones. If they are MP3's, they must be trimmed down first. Using a program such as MPTrim, you can reduce the length and size of your song. The files must be stored in the /My Documents folder on the device, unless you feel like getting into the registry and changing the default directory. There are a fw ways to get the ringers onto your Q. If you have sprint, you can use a upload tool found on the web, Activesync, or store them to the card, and use the file manager, to move the song into the proper directory.
