Need we wait?

I know this phone can be purchased unlocked but what kind of drawbacks will I run into using it on Cingular in the U.S.? I need one soon would I be better off going with a Blackberry they currently support? Thanks.

It's doubtful that Cingular will ever offer this phone because it uses the 2100MHz band for 3G, which doesn't work in the U.S. (However, it's great if you travel to Japan because that is the only flavor of GSM that operates there.)

The only drawbacks to getting it unlocked are 1) setting up the data functions will be more difficult and 2)it will cost more.
