V3i volume....
Hey Ladies and Gents -
Is there someone who can help me with something? My V3i seems to have poor volume from the earpiece during a call. I asked a few modders and they said to use P2kman and raise the gain table volume up slightly to make it louder. I installed the software and checked the gain table on all 3 of my V3i's and they are all already at 8! That's maxxed out! Do the V3i's have a glitch that the are hacked to 8 right away, or did I get a screwing from my supplier? Any responses are appreciated!!

This stuff seems way to complicated for someone's who's never done any modding. I can't even be sure I have the program and drivers downloaded correctly. THe P2Kman isn't even recognizing that my phone is connected. Very frustrating!

I had never modded before and tried it on my old V400 then moved on to other motorolas I had, and it worked seamlessly. My first problem was also P2KMan not recognizing my phone. Just take it slow don't open P2Kman at all until Win XP goes through all of the driver updates after you connect your phone. Just when you think its all done, it will pop up with more drivers to load. It does work!

Thanks for the encouragement. I'm not usually such a wimp, but all these different downloads just have me a little intimidated. I guess I'll just have to wait until I have a lot of time, and am in just the right frame of mind. I really want more volume!

I'm nearly positive I've downloaded everything I need to increase the volume on my phone, but P2K keeps telling me my phone isn't connected.
Can someone please help me? What am I doing wrong? I'm about ready to give up and sell this phone on ebay. I can't believe how low the volume is! My son's V3i is much louder than mine.

I can't get the files in the "system" folder to open up. When I highlight it, it doesn't do anything. The directions don't give any additional step for getting the files to display. Am I missing something? Same for the gain table file that's in the root directory.
