I'll have to see that. I have heard absolutely anything yet. No comments of any shipments to my store. I seriously think this phone was canceled. Think about it.
There's like three other RAZR like phones coming out in just a month or two. PLUS we are also getting the HSDPA RAZR Maxx by Xmas. There's is absolutely no room for this phone anymore. If it gets released it will be as a limited edition RAZR or something like that, in order to be able to bring the other (newer) RAZRs in Sep or Oct.

Yesterday I was at the Westchester Mall in White Plains NY, a major regional mall. The Cingular booth had a large publicity poster for the v3i.
I asked if they had it and said no, but they said it woulod be launched in August.

It's not, unless you are talking about a specific color. My girfriend was looking at one tonight and will be picking it up tomorrow. They only had one in stock.

Doesn't that seem kind of steep considering you can get an unlocked one for less than $200 w/ no contract and its been out for over a year? I would consider buying this phone though Cingular (if it ever came out) just to be safe and know everything will work right on the box but not at that price point. Sure doesn't pay to wait around for Cingular to add new phones.

Yea, it's steep but I haven't bought a phone in a while and I like knowing that it will work right out of the box without having to hack it and install software on my own. Plus if I ever have a problem I can call or go into a Cingular store for help.
