Cingular Version
I was just wondering if anyone knows when the Cingular version is going to be released? I currently own the 650 and cannot wait to upgrade.

don't hold your breath. It has been said that Verizon has 6 month exclusive on this one. Plus palm has not shown any signs of a gsm version of this phone. I tried this thing out last week and although the evdo and the new camera are nice, the screen and the especially windows are a big step backwards in my opinion. I found the windows interface much more clumsy and non intuitive to use. I am going to stick with a 650 instead.

6 months minimum. 700 is the "step daddy" if anything. it has issues with non-intuitive interfaces and data swtiching problems from EVDO to 1xRTT. should be fixed by the time cingular gets it. đ

hahaha yah 700w w/o camera... treo 700w for sprint which wont be the 700w obviously, and some other one the palm rep brought in, that i cant remember but it wasnt anything special. sorry to burst your bubble âšī¸

there will be a cingular version of 700 in late March but wont be like the 700w for verizon

I don't know if Cingular will carry this model (700w). If you really want this Treo I would consider switching to VZ, much better Network. I can tell you that in my area (South FL) Verizon is much better than Cingular. I had Cingular and between Cingular and VZ without a doubt stick with VZ (voice quality, coverage, etc). Perhaps if VZ is available in your area I will consider looking into and as far as this Treo 700w so far it's been great.

Thanks for the info, but in Boston Cingular is pretty good. Not only that I managed to lock in an unlimited internet package 2 yrs ago for $20.00 bucks a month. Don't think I am going anywhere anytime soon. I already have a 650 that works wonders.
