Um... it's been posted twice already, with no avail,, and I was just wondering... based off of the specs on this site, as well as pokin round samsung,,, I'm PRETTY sure that the 920 can handle OBEX.. i mean, at least whenever I search for bluetooth devices, I've always been able to find other phones... that being said.. does anyone know how or what the bluuudclot the 920's default lock code would be for pairing it with other handsets? I mean, I tried finding it on the samsung website.. but they want me to give them my mobile number AND esn just to get an answer 2 a question? what's up wif that?

if anybody knows, it'd be nice... but not life threatning...

I went to a "BrandFest" concerning Sprint. I may not have the answer, but I might be able to shed some light. I don't have the phone yet, but I was watching the LG presentation. That is where I learned a distinction within OBEX.

They are making phones that HAVE OBEX, but do NOT send media. It will only send contacts. It's called the "Push" profile, or something very similar. So maybe that is ALL you can do with CDMA phones (unless you have a Moto) is to send contacts. They still lock up media sending via BT in my opinion.

for those reading this needing the answer here it is:
This phone supports the following profiles:

DUN - Dial Up Networking (which you need a PAM or phone as a modem account to use this)

HSP - Head Set Profile

HFP - Hands Free Profile

OPP - Object Push Profile meaning it is not OBEX it's something similar but different. this allows vCard information to be sent, etc.

BPP - Actually, not sure what this one is, but I haven't seen anything else with that profile.

So, no it doesn't have obex, it has something close.

Depends on what you meen by "lock code."

If you are talking about the code to connect your phone via bluetooth, the number is (should be), "0000"

If you are talking about the code that is needed to do things like, Key Locking, and security mode, and to block the change of your important settings. The default lock code is normally the last four (4) digits of your phone number (if your number is 555-1234, then your code should be 1234). That should be the standard for Sprint, not for Samsung. LG's, Sanyos, etc should all do the same thing.

I hope this helps,
Good luck!
