The newest updates add MSFP aka: push e-mail, and A2DP aka: Stereo/HiFi Bluetooth audio. They also update the radio version of your device and speed up the OS some what. As for bugs I haven't had to many with mine since I updated.

www.htcamerica.net/support/default.htm to get the carrier default firmware updates. You can go to www.xda-developers.com for custom firmware. It's up to you if you want the carrier or the custom.

I have the official Cingular update for the 8125. The only thing it leaves out is A2DP support which is only used in bluetooth headsets and I think it only helps Stereo Bluetooth at that. I use the stock just incase I need to send mine back for a warenty exchange. If you don't have the stock firmware they won't replace your device. Just a heads up on that.

I am a Cingular rep. What do you have on there?

Here is a way to find out what is on your device. go to Start>Settings>System>Memory when you open the memory program on the bottom it will give you the option to find large files using storage memory. Do that and delete some of the files. I would guess you have either installed a ton of programs or you have some MP3's on the main memory. I would suggest getting a memory card. You can get 1gig sticks online for pretty cheap. Use that to store most of your MP3's, Pics, and other files. You can install programs on the card too if you need to. I do that with my games.

Actually, the most likely culprit is the pIE temporary internet files. There is no option to offload these to the memory card and they will just build up until you have no space left.

To clear space, go into PocketIE, click Menu>Tools>Options, select the Memory tab and then click the "Delete Files" button. It will probably take a little time to clear out everything, but I'd bet cash that you'll be happy with the results. 🙂
