I am looking for any opinions on which phone is better. I am in Los Angeles, need the PDA, good phone reception, email access, text and prefer fast internet access. I also have a current unlimited plan with AT&T and would somehow like to keep it. Although I am more interested in a new PDA phone with the most reliable service and features. Please give me any and all opinions. Thank you,

I can't comment on the network for LA since I don't live there but they seem to be close to the same device. Both have Wi-Fi. Both are WM5. The main differences I see is that the 8125 is Edge and runs @ 200MHz the XV6700 is EV-Do and runs @ 416MHz. Being a gadget geek I would have to say get the XV6700 or wait for the HTC Trinity to come out.

If you are looking to keep your plan with att that is....If you go to cingular they will not let you keep your plan. But you won't be able to access any of the edge functions with the old att sim card. as far as the 2 phones you asked about like soda said they are the same phone. one is the gsm model the other is the cdma model. If you are looking to switch and you are in la look for the consumer reports mag that rates the coverage area where you are and go from there.

Go for the 6700. You'll thank yourself in the long run.

I live in L.A and I will say that nothing beats cingular I never or should I say hardly ever get any dropped calls. I live in the north end of L.A county and it is very hard to keep a good signal where I live and I will say nothing can even come close to touching cingular for reception and staying connected. I just switched phones had the Raz v3 and now have the 8125 and love it. I use to have AT&T and switched over about year and a half ago and don't regret one minute. I had all of the other service's in my area sprint,verizon,t-mobile ,nextel and not one of them and get the same reception in my area as cingular does. Go with Cingular believe me you will not regret it.

That's Interesting; because I had Cingular earlier this year (I'm in Phoenix) and every call dropped like it's hot. With Verizon, the amount of dropped calls is very minute. Maybe 5 on my end. But do what's right for you.
