First one was a lemon!

Was able to order this phone the first day it was available through B2B channel.

Arrived on Monday, as promised, but... After activation procedure, all the phone did when turned on was show a startup screen with the OS version code and 3 other codes.

After the usual runaround through customer service cues, I finally got a hold of someone in migrations in ND that was extremely helpful. We did a few 3-way calls with tech support and a other channels, but to no avail. He agreed to overnight me a replacement.

2 days and no replacement phone now - apparently the sim cards were back-ordered - unbelievable.

Mine went to the same screen. Had to tap screen & pause a minute on this initial startup. Then phone went thru setup sequence & works fine.

I tried at least 5 times to get past this screen, everything from leaving it alone for hours to pushing different combinations of buttons (was unresponsive to the power button), but to no avail.

Tech Support was completely unfamiliar with the 8125, with questions like "Is that a PDA phone?" so be prepared if you have to call - you may be better off just searching google.

Mine booted up fine initially, but it was still a lemon after that.

It locked up 3 tined in the first 6 hours I played with it. Processor is way too slow. It takes amlost 2 minutes to boot up before I can make a call. Also, everytime I edit a calendar item it takes about 2-3 seconds to open anything after I click on it.

It got even worse when I loaded Pocket Informant and Sprite Backup on it. These completely overwhelmed the processor and locked up the device.

It's a great looking phone, but it needs a faster processor for sure. 195Mhz is pathetic.

I sent it back and am waiting for either the HTC Hermes, the Loox T830, the Ipaq 6915, or the Treo 700W, which ever is released first.
