Again mp3 ringtones

hey i was looking through the forum for a good half an hour and read many of the posts of how to make the mp3s ringtones. I followed them and nothing worked(other than buying the program that one mentioned). I dragged a 300kb cliped mp3 into mobile/audio and mobile/ringtone and nothing worked. One thing i did discover was no space was used in the phones memory, the card was being used. If someone could give a detailed step by step and tell me what im doing wrong it would help alot.

thanks

😁

You were on the right track! The Rokr just can't play ringtone off the card. So, go into sounds and switch the storage device to the trans card. Find the ringtone and either copy or move it to the phone.

Then you have to switch the storage device back and set is as your ringtone or go into settings/audio and change the ring detail for call to the ringtone.

Same process would apply to games/apps etc. You can store them all on the card but you need to move (or install) them into the phone's memory. I have about 30 different games on my card and i just install/delete when i want to switch them out.

what you should do is move all of the ringtones that weren't already on your sounds list by motorola over to your storage device. after that you should connect your phone to your computer and open up the phone drive (E or F) on MY COMPUTER and open up the ringtones folder then move the song you would like, under 4:10 minutes, to that folder. then after it is copied disconnect your phone from your computer then open up my sounds, switch storage device in the menu to trans, then move the song you just placed in the folder to your phone, (it may take a minute or so) then you should be able to apply it as your ringtone.....
I LOVE MY ROKR, I WOULDNT TRADE IT FOR ANYTHING ELSE!..... well maybe a PPT with itunes HAHA
