I want this phone but no word has been leaked if it will ever make it to verizon at all. It isn't looking good, all the new nokia have been verizonized and this one stayed true to nokia☹️ unless some good news comes out in the next 2-4 weeks i guess i will just go crawling back to lg, oh well anything is better than this razr turd.

yeahright, i spoke with a nokia rep yesterday and asked them about this phone i told him the info and that my father bought it from out of country but it should be coming to verizon within the next month or so and the rep said as long as it has a valid esn and supports cdma 1900 then you should be able to activate it. well the whole story i told the rep was a lie and wanted to see how he would react, so i am trying to find a way to buy this phone from australia or south america they have had it for a few months in those places. if you want i will let you know if and when i find it and how much, and i would appreciate if you can do the same for me if you find a way to purchase it. now don't cut my head off if you end up spending money on t...

just a word of advice, Verizon loads all serial numbers into their system manually as they pass them as e911 gps compliant. If you buy a phone from another source and try to activate it the system will not allow it to go through and flag the phone as non gps, eventhough we both know it would work, and there is know way to get them to add it since it didn't come from them. Sprint phones, alltel, and other carries work of similar network, i used to slap alltel phones on verizon for prepaid all the time, just took a little reprogramming, but after the whole 911 fcc law thing this was put to a quick stop.So unfortunately until verizon approves the headset you will not be able to get it activated even if it has the right tech in it. One of the gr...

that sux, thanks for clearing things up, so maybe i shouldn't waste my money then. I have realized i have a problem, i need to have things that not too many other people have. i guess that is why i always go the extra distance to try to get different things i was hoping i could be one of few people with the 6265, too bad. well good luck with the 8300 and hopefully this phone eventually comes out.

yeah i know it sucks, back about a year and 1/2 ago it was up in the air if verizon was getting the blade or the razr, i was hoping for the blade, but nope became a sprint only thing, eventhough they are the same tech, sprint is pcs first and cdma second, verizon will never get this phone. The system blows and i can't go to gsm becsue their service blows, so i am stuck with verizon(which i love) but get pissed becasue we miss out of a lot of good headsets becsue of these restrictions!

im there with you i totally agree. the reason i am with verizon is the service which is amazing, but lately i feel that cingular has almost caught up. my brother and my mom jumped ship to cingular and they both have the razr which they got for free with cingular and that phone is pretty good for them, but the same razr for verizon blows big time. i had it for a few days could not stand it. right now i have the a930 and even though it is not the best looking phone in the world it is better than anything verizon currently has. i even had the idea of just paying an early termination penalty so i could go to cingular. but have not done it as of yet. but i agree with you the lack of handsets that are both attractive and practical is very lim...

my brother has the gsm razr, it eqaully blows compared to verizons. He has had his swapped three times now, and complains about the battery and camera and outside display all the time. He is trying to get them to swap it for something different.

I was hoping for this phone as well for a long time. I guess the 8300 is the best bet at this point (no hard dates for that either). My only concern with the 8300 is the picture quality and delay. I don't own the 8100, but from trying it out in the stores I noticed quite a long picture delay and grainy pictures. I really hope LG have got there act together for this new phone.

that issue has been greatly improved over software updates and the 8300 camera lag is not bad at all. It will not be as good as a digital camera but it is decent quality.
