wasnt this supposed to come out on dec 15th or something?? or january 15th? Why dont I see it in any store (Verizon, Cingular, Bestbuy, Circuit City)?

You can find them on ebay, but Id like to see it in person at a store.

If anyone has one, how do you like it? and what advantages does it have over the HS850?

My friend has the HS850 and he likes it, whats the difference? anyone?

Thanks, sorry for all the questions 🙂

yeah cool I just noticed that the other day. Are you aware of how it is and what advantages it has over the HS850?

Also, If someone can tell me how to tell the difference between the HS810 and HS850 that would be appreciated. From what I hear they look the same but the 850 has a better battery and bluetooth version...but how can you tell them apart? is it:

HS810 = Gray/Silver
HS850 = Black

?? thanks!!

Yeah, I'm aware. I use both the HS850 and the H3. The H3 will sometimes disconnect with the V3c when in standby/idle mode. It has to do with the firmware on the V3c (at least the Alltel and USCC firmware). The updated Alltel firmware for the V3c is out but not yet for the USCC version.

The HS850 works great. The H3 works pretty good and likely will improve with the BT tweaks in the V3c firmware. The H3 is a bit slimmer, no boom and has the mni USB charging port. Battery life is about the same. No hissing on the H3.

fincher this is awesome to finally get some feedback on this subject, thanks!

So overall, if they were the same price - which one would you want/buy? For me, I want the H3 because its new and cool looking but I want the HS850 because of the easy connect boom... so I cant decide.

Also, does the HS850 only come in black? My friend has either a HS810 or HS850, but its gray. he seems happy with it.

Thanks again

The HS850 has come down in price. Its not being made anymore. The colors are black and silver.

The H3 is currently out in black and silver and will be/should be out in the gun metal gray to match the V3c.

I have both and use both. When the tweaks are worked out on my phone's firmware I will using the H3 primarily. I suggest you try out one or the other (or both) to see what works best for you.

BTW, there's lots of stuff on this topic over on Howard Forums. Lots of it.

Good luck!

cool, one more question 🙂

How easy is it to connect with the H3. From my understanding the boom connect you just open and with like a 1-2 second delay (by the time its on your ear) youre connected.

If your phone rings and your H3 is not connected, what do you have to answer the call with your H3, is it as easy as turning the power on? Any delay? Thanks again so much.

There is a delay on the H3 but its similar to the HS850. I don't use my headset in this manner most of the time. I usually use it when I'm driving and I put it on (and turn on) when I get in the car.

The HS850 might be a hair quicker when connecting.
