1). Download the driver tool first:
http://www.bvrp.com/Customers/Motorola/DriverTool.zip »

2). Download mobile phone tools(free):
http://evanzhang.com/mpt323.exe »

==> First download http://www.bvrp.com/Customers/Motorola/Driver Tool.zip

==> Run the tool with the phone not connected.

==> Once the driver tool is done, then connect the phone via USB. Let MS do its thing in recognizing the "modem"

==> You need the latests Motorola Mobile Phone Tools. If you do not have the latest (3.28 ) open MPT and get to the point where you have the phone skin pop up, this will be some generic phone picture. Hit the menu button and run Live Update.

does the 4.0.4b work with properly with V3c (in terms of the Multimedia Studio), do should we continue to use MPT under V3 or E815m?

It still excludes the Multimedia Studio with the V3c, so you have to do the GSM V3. BVRP support forum said this to someone that asked why their V3c didn't have use of the Multimedia tab... "If you do not have the Multimedia studio option it means that your service provider has had the ability to copy files to and from the phone disabled."

It also works if you choose the CDMA v3cm. I posted this a few days ago. Look it up if you need more specific directions.

yes you are the best!! someone posted the same post from jayson1 yesterday though - so I got it up and running.

my only question now is, I can move files from my computer to phone, but when I try to move stuff from my phone to my computer it gives me an error saying:

"Request denied by phone (Internal error(0x50))" or something like that

any ideas?

thanks so much again!~! 🙂

It's called Mobile Phone Management Tool if I am not wrong... it is for V3c and I am sure of it.

COMPUSA has it!
I bought one for myself, the model's MA-8870 mobile phone management tool.
There is a 800 manufacturer number in the package if you need any help. The customer service is very friendly! 🙂
