Inbox/Outbox quetion??

Does anyone notice that the "inbox" on the text messaging never tells you how many you have in there, but they "Outbox" tells you how many you sent!?!? If so, why does it do this and is it a glitch?

From what I have noticed, the Inbox only logs the number of unread messages. I don't think it's a glitch, but rather poor design. It doesn't make sense, but I think that is the way they planned it to work.
