Motorola RAZR V3c
RAZR problems to watch for.
Low battery life-
It has a small battery so it is not going to last as long as a 1000milap battery no matter what you do but leaving BlueTooth on if you are not using it will significantly affect charge life. I have heard that one of the advanced network features drains life as it is always checking online for updates or such is this that EVO thing? Is an extra sized battery possible or available?
Buzz in speaker. Lots of people say they hear a buzz after making a call. whats with that?
Loose top panel. I have heard that the top faceplate gets loose and can stick out. apparently there was anot...

I have the GSM version, and mine does the same thing, it is more than likely do to the OEL backlight rather than using LEDs Moto decided to use OEL because it is more efficient. The chemicals used in this type of lighting have to be agitated by rapidly changing the charge applied to them, this is why you hear this queal when the keypad light is on and it goes away when it goes off. All of the RAZRs do this and there is nothing to worry about at all.
Interesting. Do you mean OLED display?
I think people who have more acute hearing will be the ones more bothered by this.
Some won't even notice it.

So far I have found the RAZR to be a high quality phone and can overlook these two issues.
I looked at one the other day and was impressed. I did not notice any loosenes of the top panel although I felt there was more flex in the middle then there should have been.
Thanks to Motorola for the photo-sensing number pad light control. Unless the blue backlight is on I can't even read the letters on the number pad because of the color contrast against the shiny metal - which ALWAYS catches glare. I'm looking into disabling this feature.
So far the only thing I really like about it is the big, bright screen and carrying it in my pocket. I forget it's even there. But, there is much to be desired for ergonomics and usability. I guess that's the sacrifice for a slim design. I may return it for an LG...
