Samsung SCH-A950

I recently purchase the a950 and my phone is often searching for an EVDO signal and draining my battery. I tried the suggestion previously posted about hitting * under tools and settings but it doesnt say "??????" , but after entering 6 "0's" like it said to, it goes to another menue called service Programing, with no option that i could find that had anything to do with EVDO. When I hit "6" it didnt go to the CDMA/EVDO menu like it was supposed to. Does anyone with the latest firmware know how to disable EVDO on the Samsung a950? I have the YK24 version. Thanks... 🙂
