wma licenses

I received my samsung and microsd card a couple of days ago. after converting some of my songs from mp3 to wma and transferring them to my phone, i noticed that some of the songs couldn't be played.

i read in this forum something about licenses. can somebody tell me more about this license thing and what i can do to play the songs without the license?

If you are putting songs on that your getting for free vs. purchasing them, then some may be "license protected" to keep you from using them. If this is the case, then there is nothing you can do to play them.
