T9 question
I'm not sure how to use the T9 ('Word') feature on this phone. I can change the entry mode to 'Word,' and it works alright, but sometimes it chooses a word that I don't want, such as 'adds' instead of 'beer.' I haven't figured out a way to change which word--or even to replace individual letters in the word. I don't think this was really explained in the manual.

To change the word, as soon as you are done typing it, press (zero) to cycle through the other choices of possibilities.

How do you add words? My friend has a Samsung through Cingular and she is able to add words to T9 Word. I just got this phone to replace my VX4400B, and my LG had a much better T9 word list! This is driving me CRAZY! 😕

I am 99% sure that you can not add words in the T9 on this phone. Your friends Samsung through cingular does not have the Verizon GUI that was added to all of our a950s. There may be some way to add a word besides saving as quick text, but I have not found it yet...along with many others.
