Nokia 8801 / 8800

Nokia 88XX series

Dear members !!
i want to buy the nokia 88XX 😳 series phone, but why do some people say the 8801 is a cheaper less functional phone then the 8800 ? is this true, are there any significant differences between these two besides the GSM band?
I would like to buy biy the 8801, but not after they said that….

they are the same phone, just the 8801 is the north american version. i own the 8801 and my only complaint about the phone is that the earpiece volume is just so low you can hardly hear people, even at max volume.
