LG V VX-9800

My roommate got his 9800 about two weeks ago. He gets an error when he tries to do something with ringtones through the file system. The error says, phone has blocked access to the specified file or directory. There is nothing that bitpim can do to get access as the block in on the phone itself. These blocks are usually because the carrier wants customers to upload content via their service rather than using a program like bitpim." Anyone have any solutions for this.

Also, when he uploads his contacts, Bitpim cuts the "Note Area" to 32 characters, even though the phone allows 60 characters. Any solutions for this?
