Well you copy music from a cd using windows media by putting your cd in and clicking on the "rip" tab towards the top.

Then after you rip the cd look in this file directory
C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\my Documents\My music

Leave that C drive thing open and insert your sd card or connect the usb cord or whatever method you use.

Open up the file that has my pix, my flix, my sounds, my mp3's, and my mp3 playlist.

Open up my mp3 and drag the songs you want from the C drive you opened up earlier and there you go. It all gets easier after you do it.

I keep receiving an error message on multiple songs but not all the songs but i believe that I've converted them into wma format so let me try leaving them in MP3 form and just putting them into the MP3 folder. Also on a standard battery, under normal/decent usage and low singnal strength, how long should my battery be lasting because it seems that it doesn't last that long at all. I'll find myself having to charge it like once a day or so. Do you find yourself having that problem?

sorry for the double posting but since our phones do have a Lithium Polymer battery does that mean its "ok" to charge them overnight vs/a regular Lithium Ion battery where you can burn the cells out?

Yes it's fine to charge over night, it stops charging and cools off once it is done.

ahh ok. It seems that not even LG themselves know how to understand their own batteries. Also what kindof battery life should I expect to see from the standard battery under normal/decently heavy usage w/low signal strength? Yeah, i know all of these are not good for the phone but what can i say I love playing with my phone its soo awesome!

DO NOT MAKE NEW FOLDERS LEAVE THE ONES THEY HAVE PUT ON THERE.

There should only be 5 which are my sounds, my pix, my flix, my mp3, and my mp3 playlist.

Leave in mp3 format don't convert things.

haha thanks. Yeah i did what you said and left the music in MP3 format and put them in my MP3 folder and it works so thank you for that info. As for the battery, yeah the phone is still new to me so I'm using it a lot but i have to cahrge it once a day but it does last me several hours. I might just have to break down in a month or so and buy the extended battery for it but I dont want to buy that yet since i've bought almost everyting else for this phone not including the music kit which i wont' be buying.

Umm, for the battery life on all my old phones I let the battery completely die then charge it again. I have only done it once accidently on this phone. Maybe you can give it a try to help extend battery life.

Also when you watch movies or listen to music use headphones instead of out loud.

I usually do drain it down all the way untill the battery icon is flashing and the phone shuts down on me. BUt why is it beter to watch videos or listen to music w/ the stereo headphones connected vs. just listening to the music through the speakers? Also do you know of a way to get custom ringers meaning you don't have to pay for them?

Ok, it isn't nessasarily better to use the the headphones, but it helps with battery life. You can get almost twice as much usage when using headphones over not using them.

I have tried, You can give it a shot to, though it did not work for me. Cut a song down to about 1 minute or less. Then take it and transfer it like you do with music, but instead of putting it in my mp3, put it in my sounds.

I have heard of people that use the program bitpim who made ringtones from that program but since I use a card reader... There isn't a way for me. But that's ok since I like 2 of the stock ringtones anyways.

Why would using the headphones help improve the battery life of the phone? That's what doesn't make sense to me. And if you transfer that sound file to your My Sounds folder how would you set it as a ringtone cause there's no option for it. and yeah ive also heard of bitpim before but i also hvae a card reader and so therefore im not willing yet to buy the USB cable for the phone. i dont mind paying 2.99 for ringtones but i think my frind might have a way to get free ringtones. ill have to see if his way acdtually works.
