Does anyone know how to unlock this phone so that this phone can be used with another company?

Unlock the phone so it can be used by another company? such as another service provider? I do not think that is possible on the 9800 or any other phone. I would think they lock the phones from other companies so they do not lose money. If you are referring to something else please let me know.

I want to unlock the phone to use it with sprint instead of verizon. I know people who have done it with phones that use sim cards, i just wanted to know if it could be done with these types of phones.

It can't be done. This phone doesn't use a SIM card. Instead of going through the trouble of unlocking it why don't you just switch to verizon?Isn't unlocking illegal anyway?h

Whats the point? None of the advance features like web and v-cast will work. It would be like having a free phone. Just get the Blade, Juke, or Samsung 940? They have uncrippled bluetooth. I have to sell my 9800 so I can switch to Sprint.

Sorry, but only GSM phones which use sim cards can be unlocked for use with other GSM carriers. Verizon is CDMA which cannot be unlocked or used with another carrier.

Ok, first off it can be "unlocked" as there is no lock on it to begin with. The MSL is 000000 as it is for all Verizon phones. The only catch is Sprint will not activate it as it is not a phone they sell and none of the features would work. Sprint uses Java and Verizon uses BREW for their internet, the picture mail system is totally different, and the EVDO would not work so it would basically be a voice only phone with a lot of useless add ons.

As for unlocking being illegal, that is ridiculous. I have several unlocked GSM phones and have gotten some of the unlock codes from the providers. Some I have gotten online.
