I was informed there was a lens protector on this phone? However, I'm not seeing it...am I missing something? The camera lens will be totally scratched and ruined in a matter of time w/out it? Anyone know differently?!

Thats one of the selling points. Even on CNET Kent German speaks on it in the video he shot on Tues I believe. Very strange indeed.

- The back of the phone does look like a digital camera, which features a sliding lens cap--important to keep the lens free of scratches.

There definately is NO sliding lens cap! I thoroughly checked this phone out for quite some time today at a Verizon store. It is recessed in a little, which some may say that will help on scratches, but personally, I think that will only leave it open more for dust/dirt to get in there and scratch it and make it harder to clean. It's not like the 8100 where although it doesn't have a sliding lens cap, it is flush with the phone.

Sorry folks, There is no lens cap, it would be nice with it, but it's not a deal breaker for me. This phone rocks!

Considering phone cameras basically suck (1.3 megapixel is good for viewing on your phone only)... does anyone honestly care THAT much about the cameras on phones? I mean I use mine here and there for things... but its a phone with a crappy camera. No biggie if its a little dusty here and there./
