today we received the dummy vx9800, it wasnt as big as i thought it be. The length is as long as the 8100 with the antenna, but it is a bit thicker than the 8100, and its on the verizon site as coming soon so expect it to be out in next two weeks.

the inside screen is almost the same size as the 8100 flipped horizontally, but its a bit longer lengthwise , the phone itself is small it a bit shorter than the 8100 plus its antenna.

How well do you think that most ppl would take to it ie the appearance?Honestly I'd be pretty willing to carry the brick around(based on what you said about the specs of the dummy unit),pricing tho, ugh thats all my allowance all gone.Ha

i mean its a very cool looking phone, and for ppl who text a lot this would be great, also for playing 3D vcast games its good. its the same size as the nokia 6015 that verizon offered. in the pictures it looks big but youll be surpirsed to see how small it is.

Okay so I got a chance to play with the unit today, you were right it was a lot smaller than from what I gathered from online. For what is on it, I do like the size of it.Need a live unit though, now that would be sweet!Got some reading to do up on it tonight.

We got the dummies phones in our Verizon store, and personally I think the outside looks like the very ugly Motorola C343. The inside looks nice, but the keypad is really hard to use, especially for those with thicker fingers. Also an LG rep came into our store and showed us the live model. It is a very nice phone, but again, why do LG have to bite off the unrepeatable Motorola C343 look and the keys should be elevated a lil bit more.

maybe you need to get a different job. Do you think that dissing verizon products and service will keep you employed? what was the last year you hit winner's circle. i've been there every year from 2000...and by the way, telling people we jack up prices (v-cast) is not only going to insult the people who use it but drive down our ARPU's. Didn't you just cash in a few thousand bucks in LTI's or maybe you haven't earned them yet? Driving up ARPU will only help your paycheck if you have the right attitude and the common sense to keep confidential info, well confidential.

read his other comments, you dork. he's the one telling people not to buy vcast because it only drives up ARPU's.

Just a reminder people. Vcast service may be a bit expensive, but in includes quite a bit. Lets point that out. Unlimited Get it now (Gin) Browsing, Mobile web 2.0, Unlimited mobile web 2.0 browsing, Unlimited vcast video clips (not including premium). I mean the mobile web by its self is $5 so out of those $15, $10 is going to vcast, and also the unlimited air time used when on this system bring the vcast pricing even lower.

thank you. finally someone sees that sometimes you really do pay for what you get...to be on the edge you can't just spend a couple of bucks. why spend so much on a phone and not use it to its' full capabilities. like buying a 'vette and driving at 50
