Nokia 6101 / 6102
About the phone two colors
People are saying that Cingular is going to carry the silver phone, which is supposed to be the 6102 and T Moble will carry the black and silver one, which is supposed to be the 6101. But from what I seen on Nokia.com, is that the 6101 can come in both colors. And the difference with 6102 is that it has more features like being equipped with several key extras, and co-branding covers.
So I would like to know if you can choose the color you like?
And for those who have the phone, what color do you have and what company are you with?

Mine is black with silver back (battery cover) and trim. It's an unlocked unbranded handset for the Asian market and I use it with T-mo.
Besides, I don't think it was a silver one for Cing. I thought it was a white one? Don't know for sure.
You can't change the covers on either model, so what ever color you get is it. Noboby knows what the color selection at Cing will be until they're released. The T-mo version is supposed to be like mine. This is the color scheme that you see on just about every picture of the 6101 on the i'net.

I just thought that the 6101 comes either in black or silver, or white as you said. I thought it looked silver. But I thought you can choose which one you want no matter what carrier your with b/c when you go to Nokia website they let you see in white then they have a square to the bottom right that you can click on that makes the phone black and silver.

Could be. Won't know until you go / call Cing / T-mo and place your order.
Come to think of it I did see a web page some place that had close-ups of the 6101 in silver. Looked OK - but I like black. I hate silver cars too, so maybe I don't count!!

Okay i got a paper thingy from cingular today and they showed the black one and called it 6102 and i went on the nokia site and the 6102 is black and the 6101 is the white one so im really hoping that cingular sells the black one
