"I like the phone but there are certain sound problems, sound cracks often. Sound hearing volume is also low so it would say the simple nokia models like 3510i are excellent compared to all this new ****." I thought Nokia phones usually had good sound quality (loud & clear). (My old 3360 sounded good when I had it).

This individual also had good things to say about the phone though.

Someone else stated that mp3 ringtones sound bad, but polyphonic ones sound good. This is important to me as I am always changing my ringtone.

If the 6102 has bad sound quality & ringtones, I don't really care for it. What do ya'll think?

I don't know what that guy was smokin'. The sound quality is okay with me, especially the loudspeaker. That's MY opinion. Maybe Out2L8 would want to chime in on this when he gets his. As far as the MP3 ringtones are concerned, I don't want a stereo on my phone. 🙂 As long as I can hear it, I'm fine with it. You may have a problem with some ringtones having too much treble, so much that they are annoying. You might be able to fix that with the Audacity program. I downloaded that and I'm still trying to figure it out. 🙂

Yes - chocolatchild is dead on right! The sound quality from headset and speaker phone is great! I've called a few ppl to see what they thought of the sound quality on their end and one of them didn't even think I was on a cell!

Very cool phone! You'll have to wait until the 6102 is out for you to use it on Sing-u-liar, unless you can find one some place. Just be very careful b/c I don't know how you can really determine the model other than the pkg it comes in and (probably) the model designation on the label underneath the battery.
