Nokia 6101 / 6102
CINGULAR - 6101 or 6102???
Hi Everyone..I am one of the many who have been waiting for Nokia to finally make a flip compatible with Cingular. I have read several threads..and still can't find an answer to my questions.
- Will Cingular be using the 6101 or 6102?
- Why can't I buy an "unlocked" phone from ebay? Will it work? Will I have any issues?
Has anyone played with the menu on the phone? Is it typical NOKIA? Meaning...is it faster than the Motorola? My wife uses the Motorola flip, each time I use it there always is a slight delay each time I press one of the keys. I use an older Nokia and love the menu. It's FAST! For me..that's extremely important. I'll probably buy the Nokia regardless...but want to know someone else's opinion.

The difference, as per the Nokia webite:

Cingular will offer the 6102. The outright price will be $189.99, and I think the ones on Ebay are going for about $250.00. So if I were you I would wait until the late July launch of this phone and go get it at a Cingular dealer.

189.99 isnt bad at all, thats without a contract? I need to replace this e317 and thats the phone I want, how does it compare in size to the e317? sound quality? The e317 is horrible. When do you think the 6102 will be out, early August?
