Bought a 32K sim...Cingular says I can't use it.

Hi everyone...I bought a 32k sim off of eBay and tried to activate it with an operator over the phone and then directly at a store and they both said they couldn't get it to work with my phone...the number on the SIM is a digit too short (I think they were looking for a twenty digit code and mine has 19, etc.). To someone who has put a 32k in a 6682, could you please give me some advice?
Thank you!

Why would you want a 32K? Do you have an account with Cingular? If so just go to a corporate store and they more than likely will give you a SIM for free. I work at a corporate store and we do this for free all the time. If you don't have a Cingular account still go to a corporate store and they should still give you a SIM for free you would just pay activation fee. BTW 32K sims are old and would work w/ your phone but a 64K SIM will give you the reception you need.

The 32k may be old, but it works best.

I've had my 32k since day one, and I would kick and scream if I ever changed it...too many customers have had problems with the 64k imo...look at all the problems with the gemplus ones, not a day goes by that a customer dosen't come into my store with a phone that says 'insert sim'....
