I just cancelled my 6682 order from letstalk ...
the friendly folks there could not tell me when i my order would ship & since i'm migrating, they would be activating my accont & then shipping it to me, so i'd be w/o service during the time they migrate me till when i recieve the phone, (a really mindless policy choice by letstalk for people porting their #'s), plus they could not tell me other than my acct was still in activation process, though the one guy earlier today assured me that it would ship today...

...glad to see how well they handle people (& i want this to be know, i'm not angry against the customer service reps, they are all nice & doing what they can, but the Co (letstalk & their systems & policies suck !) ... 👿

I agree with all the points you made. When "LetsTalk" told me the ETA was pushed back I cancelled my order for the 6682, likewise. I've been down that road before and don't care to do it again.
I ordered an MPx220 today from Cingular after cancelling with "LetsTalk". Cingular informed me that the porting of my phone number had already begun from the LetsTalk order. The very thorough sales rep at Cingular made sure everything got cleared up in that regard.
Just a thought, you might want to follow up to verify that your number does not get lost.
Like the person said earlier, Caveat Emptor.

sonero, i remeber talking to you in other forums and you were thinking of getting the 6102.

the 6682 definitely has a ton of more features. right now, i am a bit torn between the moto mpx220 and the nokia 6682. i think i am gonna pass on the 6102 - it seems expensive for not having many features.

i guess another part of me is kind of thinking, well i already have an mp3 player, i have a good digital camera, why do i need a phone that does all those things too?

but anyway i was wondering what your impressions of the 6682 are - i agree you're lucky to have got it when you did! i'd hate to have to pay $50 more for it so hopefully the price will come back down. anyway, what do you think of the size? is it too clunky? will it fit in yo...

i had big expectations from 6101. and i was planning to stick to tmobile. but when i purchased the phone, i was dissappointed with the phone that i get compared to the price i paid. it is a typical nokia phone. i didnt like the size of 6101. it is almost the same size with my good old v300. the ear phone volume is too low. i had a hard time to hear my frind while walking in downtown LA streets.
the ringtones are also very dissappointed. i uploaded some mp3 s to use them as ringtones, but very bad results. very cheap sound.

so i got back home and i was browsing to see the prices of 6101 online, as soon as i was 6101 on letstalk.com for free, i felt really bad. but this price for only new activation.
(i paid 169.99 for upgrade plus tax)

sonero,

thanks for the awesome review man, i really appreciate it. right now it is down to either this phone or the moto mpx220. but, i am leaning towards nokia since a) i kinda like stick phones better and b) i like nokias graphic user interfaces, menus and software, and above all quality.

yeah, i actually used letstalk before so i am not sure if you can refer me for the discount?

anyway, i hope the price goes back down to $99, i kinda feel foolish for not getting one earlier in the week!!

glad to know it isn't too heavy and fits ok in your pocket.
