How do you use Mp3's as ring tones?
Every time I transfer a mp3 to my phone without using iTunes and try to set that Mp3 as a ring tone it doesn't appear in the ring tone category. I usually have to browse to Tools>Sounds and then switch storage device to be able to see and listen the mp3 but then it doesn't let me set it as a ring tone.
The only way I could set a mp3 as a ring tone is if I transfer the file from the card to the phone's memory and the phone obviously has limited memory.
So anyway is there a way to set Mp3's as ring tones on your memory card or do you have to transfer them to the phone to be able to use them?

you could upload them to your phone via wap. trim them using whatever program you like (i like mp3trim) then upload them on a site like www.wap-upload.net or www.davidpye.com/freewap/index.php. I have a v551 not a L7 but im thinking it will work just the same.

i forgot...the biggest file you can upload is 1 mb but thats pretty big for a ringtone.
