I'm New to Cingular can you help
I just changed to Cingular from Verizon and I have a few questions.
1. Do I have to update my roming like with Verizon it was *228 or does Cingular just know where there are new towers.
2. How do I know if there are software updates for my phone does the software update link in my phone really tell me that, and do I have to take it in to a store to do the updates or they done over the air.

1- No, our GSM phones update themselves (several times a day)
2- I figure you have a SLVR (since we are in the SLVR forum) Just go under settings / phone status / software update (none available as of today 4/4/06)

Thanks for the info all helped I did find it under settings / phone status / software update I just did not know how good that worked, then when it does say there is a update can I just download it or do I have take the phone some where.
