Anyone who has the SLVR for Cingular...I've got a question for you. Does the phone have something on the screen to protect it from scratches b/c the motorola website said there was something on it. I was thinking of getting this phone but not if im gonna get a billion scratches on it. Thanks in advance for any answers.

The link is http://direct.motorola.com/ENS/Web_full_specs .asp?Country=USA&language=ENS&productid=30340 &strPrimaryOption=FS&lSecondaryOption=-1 ... Just click on the link fun features.

I just got this phone today and am trying to decide whether or not to take the plastic covering off. My nokia 6230 got SO scratched and i got this b/c of what motorola said but when i called like 4 different cingular stores they said they either didn't know or it didn't come with it, or "if the website says it then it must be true." So i dont know who to believe. I might call motorola direct and ask. Anyone else not have any scratches?? Thanks.

You can take that pl...

Just buy of those screens that protect pda's and cut it to size. The screen is protected by glass not plastic where it's more prone to scratches.

I removed the plastic film that is used for shipping purposes. Since it is a glass lens I would assum it is extremely scratch resistent compared to plastic.
